Dek Chella and Jalimet are two characters from a series that I made around 2002-5. They are are computer drawings using photoshop of black and white drawings which I scanned in and then coloured. The size is variable from postcard to HUGE!
Prevella and Strett are two more people which I have created using drawings and then digitally colouring them using a mac and photoshop. I then made up what seem the most fitting name to match their characters.
Here are a couple of examples of the figurative drawings I do using black marker pen on a sheet of postage stams. I like the idea of using sheets as background paper and you can see the stamps through the drawings and it makes an interesting juxta-postion.
Thesed drawings were from about 2007, not sure exactly, but I have done a few inthis ongoing series of faces or portraits drawn on sheets of stamps from various countries - these four drawings are on sheets issued by Nicuragua.
Another ongong project is the placement of my art in the public realm. These take the form of A4 photocopies of my face drawings fromvsmall sketchbooks that. They are a kind of "Street Art" or "Graffiti" except that I don't use paint - just paste, or spray mount to fix the sheets of paper. These photocopied drawings I often place where there is painted graffiti already, or in delapidated old delilct buildings, or unusual places. The faces look out to the onlooker.
